About Meridian Immigration Law
A bilingual immigration firm built around one idea: that an anxious person deserves to understand their own case.
Lucia Herrera Vega

Lucia Herrera Vega has practiced immigration law for 15+ years. She grew up in a bilingual household, the daughter of immigrants, and saw early how confusing and frightening the system can be when no one will slow down and explain it. That experience shaped how she practices.

Why This Firm Exists
Lucia Herrera Vega founded Meridian Immigration Law in 2009 after years of watching anxious clients leave other offices more confused than when they walked in. Immigration law is genuinely complicated, but that is not a reason to leave people in the dark. We started this firm to do the opposite: to slow down, explain things plainly, and make sure clients understand their own situation in the language they are most comfortable speaking.
What We Believe
Clarity is part of the service. A client who understands their case makes better decisions and feels less afraid. We treat plain explanation as part of the work, not an afterthought.
Honesty over reassurance. We will tell you the truth about your situation, including when a path is difficult or a timeline is long. False comfort helps no one. A real understanding does.
You will be understood. We work in English and Spanish, and we mean it. You should never have to bring your own translator to talk about something as personal as your future.
Credentials, Plainly Stated
Credentials matter most when they reassure rather than impress. Here is what stands behind the work:
